About VAR

VAR is a moderated listserv for researchers in the areas of victim assistance, criminology, criminal justice, psychology and victimology. It is open to:

victim assistance practitioners;
academics in the multi-discipline fields of victim assistance and victimology;
professionals in related fields; and post-graduate students of these fields.

Its purpose is to provide researchers in this field with access to other researchers in order to: exchange or request information; coordinate projects; locate resources or seek guidance from their peers.

Applying for membership

If you would like to apply for membership, please read over the rules, then click on the "I Agree" button. This will take you to an encrypted submission form, which will protect your information from prying eyes.. Victim Assistance Online does not collect personal information on our users without their knowledge or consent. We do not sell the e-mail addresses, web addresses or personal information of our users to marketing or sales companies of any kind, nor do we exchange such listings with other organizations.

Remember to retain client confidentiality at all times
No for-profit sales advertisements allowed
Advertisements for non-profit agency projects directly related to conferences, symposia and other formal professional educational opportunities are welcomed
